Helping science succeed
Helping science succeed

If you haven’t already done so, please remember to (in this order):

  1. Choose your workshop questions by tomorrow. Late choices will be accepted but priority will be given to those received by the deadline. By the way, it’s okay not to choose. As many delegates have noted, all the topics are interesting. If you don’t indicate a preference, you’ll just be assigned to a workgroup as needed.
  2. Reserve your hotel room by the end of November. Unclaimed rooms may be released on December 1.
  3. Pay your conference fee asap (unless this has been waived).
  4. Optional: Submit a poster proposal
  5. Optional: Submit a profile

More detail on each of these steps is provided below. To review past updates regarding OSI2016, please visit the OSI website at http://osinitiative.org/instructions.

Thank you and best regards,

  1. WORKGROUP QUESTIONS
Which question would you like to focus on at this event? Please visit the OSI2016 agenda page (http://osinitiative.org/2016-agenda/) and email [email protected] with your top three choices by November 13. The organizing committee will make every effort to assign you to one of your top choices. Our goal is to create workgroups that include a wide variety of stakeholder representatives.
  2. HOTEL REGISTRATION
All delegates are encouraged to stay at the conference hotel, the Hyatt Fairfax at Fair Lakes. The opening night reception begins at the Hyatt on Tuesday the 19th at 6 p.m., and the closing meeting ends at the hotel at 2 p.m. on Friday the 22nd. To make your hotel reservation, CLICK HERE or call toll-free 1-888-421-1442 (402-592-6464). If you will be staying at the Hyatt, please make your hotel reservation by no later than December 1st so we can release any rooms that aren’t needed.
  3. CONFERENCE FEE
If you received approval to have your registration fee waived, there is no need to go through this step. For everyone else, in order to pay your conference registration fee, please CLICK HERE (which will take you to the OSI2016 registration page) and scroll down to the green box. If you are paying a registration fee, please do so by December 1.
  4. POSTERS
There will be several poster opportunities available at this event. If you would like to submit a poster, please email [email protected] with a pdf for consideration. Selected presenters will be responsible for printing and transporting their own posters.
  5. PROFILES
By default, the conference directory will not include expanded profiles for every delegate. The only delegate information that will be listed by default are names and bylines as they appear in the current delegate list. Optional information that you are welcome to include are (1) an expanded 100-word byline, (2) photo (any size), (3) a link to your full online bio, and (3) your preferred contact information. Please email this information to [email protected].
